WANTED: people who ask the next question
Curiosity required. Expertise optional. Chai, always.
At Alochanna, asking the next question is the whole job. We spend our days chasing stories: a forgotten rebellion in a village in Odisha, a law everyone quotes but nobody has read, a headline that doesn’t add up. We read, we argue, we check the source one more time, and then we turn it into something a friend would actually stop scrolling for.
The people who do this aren’t experts. They’re curious. Some came for the history, some for the writing, some just wanted to make better posts than the ones they kept seeing. All of them ended up learning far more than they expected, and every piece they made went out with their name on it.
We work from different cities, on different screens, but it still feels like one table. Someone always has a question, someone always has a source, and someone always has an opinion about whose turn it is to make the chai.
